In ancient Egypt, Nubian princess Aida is captured and enslaved, only to fall in love with Radames, the Egyptian military captain who is engaged to the Pharaoh's daughter Amneris. Torn between their forbidden love and duty to their warring nations, Aida and Radames must make impossible sacrifices as their romance threatens to upend an empire.
