Dear Evan Hansen
Ajay Suresh from New York, NY, USA

Anxious, isolated teenager Evan Hansen writes himself therapeutic letters that begin "Dear Evan Hansen." When a troubled classmate, Connor Murphy, takes one of these letters and then dies by suicide, a misunderstanding leads everyone to believe the two were secret best friends. Evan seizes the lie as a chance to finally belong, but as his fabricated friendship inspires a viral social media movement, the weight of his deception threatens to destroy the real connections he has built.

'To Break in a Glove' (Dear Evan Hansen, 2016). You might not think it’s worth it,” sings Mr. Murphy. “You might begin to doubt. But you can’t take any shortcuts; you gotta stick it out. And it’s the hard way, but it’s the right way.'
