Frank Wildhorn was a pop songwriter with no theatrical experience. Leslie Bricusse was a com-poser/lyricist with vast experience and a handful of early-1960s hit show tunes (with a pop sound) like What Kind of Fool Am I? and Who Can I Turn To?
