The stage equivalent of MGM’s That’s Entertainment series, Jerome Robbins’ Broadway is a sampling of highlights from Robbins’ 21-year career — from On the Town in 1944 to Fiddler on the Roof in 1964. Featured in this well-organized déjà vu revue (which cost $8.8 million and utilizes a cast of 62) are sequences from nine of the 15 productions for which Robbins’ served as choreographer or director-choreographer, plus one number, “Comedy Tonight” from A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, which he had been called in to stage during the show’s tryour and for which he received no program credit. Another piece, Irving Berlin’s “Mr. Monotony,” makes its Broadway debut in this production since it had been cut out of both Miss Liberty and Call Me Madam. The show established a new top ticket price of $55, subsequenlty raised to $60. So far during the run, Jason Alexander has been succeeded by Terrence Mann, and Debbie Shapiro by Karen Mason. Grand Hotel. David Carroll and Liliane Montevecchi (Martha Swope)
