The forty-two-year old bachelor Cliff Mettinger (Carlton Brickert), who has always been pampered by his mother and sisters, returns from a vacation in Atlantic City with the outgoing, slightly vulgar Daisy Mayme Plunkett ( Jessie Busley) and announces he plans to marry her. The sisters combine forces to drive the upstart Daisy away but they fail and it looks like Cliff has found a wife and a bit of gumption.
