When young Charlie Price inherits his father's struggling Northampton shoe factory, he finds an unlikely savior in Lola, a fabulous drag queen who needs sturdy, stylish high-heeled boots for her cabaret act. Together, the unlikely pair must overcome prejudice and self-doubt as they work to save the factory by designing a dazzling line of kinky boots for an unlikely new market.
