In 18th-century France, dissolute young nobleman Lestat de Lioncourt is transformed into a vampire by the ancient Magnus. Gifted with immortality but cursed with an insatiable thirst for blood, Lestat journeys through centuries — from revolutionary Paris to the modern world — seeking companionship and meaning. He creates a vampire daughter, Claudia, with fellow vampire Louis, but their dark family unravels as Claudia rebels against her eternal childhood and Lestat confronts the loneliness of endless existence.
