The curmudgeonly antisocial “Man in Chair”(Bob Martin) addresses the audience from his dreary apartment and holds forth about his consuming passion, original cast recordings of show tunes. He goes on to discuss his favorite musical, one from the 1920s, The Drowsy Chaperone . As he continues, his apartment is invaded by characters from the show (some coming out of the refrigerator) and it transforms into various sets from the production.
