Bob White tells his jealous wife that he commutes home each evening on the night boat from Albany, using this excuse to spend his evenings on the town. When his wife decides to surprise him by meeting the boat, Bob must scramble to maintain his elaborate deception, leading to a farcical chain of lies and comic catastrophes.
