A Russian prince and princess, exiled by the Revolution, live in poverty in 1930s Paris. Entrusted with Tsarist funds, they refuse to touch the money and take jobs as servants in a French household. Their aristocratic breeding keeps showing through their humble disguises, leading to comic situations.
